Mona Doctor-Pingel is an architect based in Auroville and the founder of Studio Naqshbandi. A graduate of CEPT Ahmedabad with a master’s degree in Appropriate Technology from Flensburg University, Germany, she has been practicing climate-responsive and sustainable architecture since 1995. Her work integrates architecture, interiors, landscape, and building technologies, with a focus on local materials, craftsmanship, and healthy living environments. An author, researcher, and award-winning practitioner, she is widely recognized for advancing environmentally conscious design rooted in the values of Auroville.
